This Little Piggy.... Grew Back!!!

You are 69 years old. You stick your finger in a propeller of a model airplane. It slices it off! What do you do? Well... you get some magic dust, sprinkle it on your wounded appendage, sit back and watch it grow back.
It looks like in the near future you'll be able to piss off your own Lorena Bobbitt and not have to worry about bringing your little friend to the hospital to once again become one with you...

Banks deep into unregulated 'gambling'
a Marketplace (R) Story - it aired Tuesday, April 1, 2008
There's so much more out there we don’t know about - all these powerful corporations being as greedy as they can be and now the little guy, you and I, save the day for them – what’s going on for the last several years, and not necessarily pegged to this administration only, is a wild west version of capitalism. We have to be free to go and make a buck, and provide for ours and better our lives, but there need to be rules and regulations to protect society and the common good. This wild capitalism will be the fall of us.
Listen to the story and tell me what you think

A More Perfect Union
Barack's may or may not be one of the most important speeches of our generation, time will tell, but it definitely deserves to be heard at least once;
This is what Hillary had to say;
Any comments?

Marco "Il Muro" Materazzi - The Wall
The original episode as seen by billions,
became this, which proves that anything is possible if you put your head into it, or in this case into someone else;

Green Roof Fantasies...

the building i live in has recently finished fixing the roof and a new common roof deck was built for all residents to enjoy... in addition there are some private roof areas assigned to some apartments, and we're lucky enough to own one of these.
a few of the other private spaces have already been built with wooden roof decks, they are very nice and my neighnords are enjoying them tremendously...
our roof space's still bare, and i've been dreaming of having a patch of grass in the middle of the city.
how nice would that be?!?!
i still have to do a lot of research, and i don't even know if i'll be able to afford it, or if the co-op board would aprove it, but the idea of coming home from work, and going to the roof to enjoy a nice evening laying down on the grass, sounds good to me.
wish me luck

Ahhhh... Coffee...

the little pleasures in life...
to enjoy a good cup of coffee first thing in the morning, or a relaxed walk in a breezy summer evening, a big laugh with a friend or the feeling of accomplishment when you’ve completed a task. reading that book you’ve being meaning to, or getting that phone call from a long lost friend, seeing a toddler carelessly running around in a park, or watching those storm clouds coming in, the anticipation before you open a gift and a tender kiss from your lover...
some of the things that make life a good journey.

Tolerance
life can be simple, live and let live, help someone when they need it and accept a hand when it's offered, and so on...

the NYS Court of Appeals interpreted earlier today that gay marriage is not allowed under the present state constitution, law makers in Albany have the option to change it.
it might be against the law today, but you'd hope that open-mindedness and tolerance prevails in the end. after all we are talking about allowing people to express their love for one another (and to get screwed) in the same way that the rest of us can.
